I used to use goats milk but had lots of trouble with it being consistent. I switched midyear to Red Cap after lots of runny stole and head ache. I add 1 cup of Fox Valley to a gal. of Red Cap and what do ya know. Pellets, happy, healthy fawns. I will be a Red Cap man until I see bad results. So far so good.
 
Zoologic for us. Sometime frozen goat colostrum for the weak ones.
 
We use Zoologic and have not had any problems, been raising a set of Quad doe fawns on the stuff and a couple of others. Was going to try Lone Star but the cost of shipping changed our mind on that.
 
Hey dennis we got one started already,But i have decided on Calf manna Suckle, 38 dollars 40 pound, medicated. price hard to beat for this product i like it better than zoologic. mixes good, even some days adding some red cap, imagine that!,Dc no shipping got it here in bristow, Scott, what are your thoughts on the medicated? i think lot problems can be elimanated, Makes sense to me,DC
 
Yes I'm very interested in the medicated replacer.......next year i will try using it mixed with the good old red cap! But medicated makes sense as long as it treats the right stuff.......so what is the medicated treating??
 
Redcap running higher over here, Dennis the manna suckle,active ingredient,is neomycin, from sulfate, oxtetracyclne, prevention bacterial enteritis, SCOURS,PS, for a cookie, i will Get it for you if you cant find what you want. and you pay shipping if you want to save some bucks next yr, Dc,Ps i deleted the other one titled milk poll.now the milk survey,and this one, you both started one for me,Dc
 
we have been using 1/2 raw whole milk and 1/2 Zoologic Fawns look great! pooping pellets and eating feed and greens great!!! we will also keep this program going until we see the need to change.
 
I settled on 1/2 zoologic and 1/2 red cap for my mix this year. Did have one bout of scours from ground bacteria but that is only natural in my opinion. I'm happy with the growth and pellets with the deer with this mix. I will use this mix next year as I'm happy with it.
