Many of you know I have been in the industry for almost 40 years. I have had a few people ask me about using a mule deer buck to breed their whitetail does. In most cases this will not work unless that mule deer buck fawn was bottle raised with whitetail fawns so it imprints on those whitetail. A mule deer raised like that will breed whitetail does natural.

A few years ago I put twenty whitetail does in with three adult mule deer bucks in a one acre pen. When spring came around none of the whitetail birthed fawns. In all those years when we left both types of deer together only three does did cross breed on their own.

So if anyone wants me to bottle raise a 2017 mule buck fawn with whitetail fawns so they will breed with their whitetail naturally contact me and I will do that for you. I do have some mule deer buck fawns still available.
