My Opinion Of Some Missouri Deer Farmers

C

Crossroads

This is the first time I have ever started a thread on here but I want to express my my appreciation of Steve Thayer,Mark Pierce,Nathan Blosser,Troy Gann, and Robert Hooten who went out of their way to assist in any way they could when they realized that a had a mechanical breakdown on my way back to Illinois from the Oklahoma sale.Missouri should sure be proud of the concern they showed with their actions. I want to send a very special thanks to Robert Hooten . He was not home long enough to even unload his truck and trailer before jumping into his tow truck and driving the 120 miles to my rescue. He hauled my truck to his home, gave me a place to stay in his home, fed me, repaired my truck on Sunday and did not want anything of me but some money for fuel for his truck. This was not nearly enough for all that he did for me and I had to insist on him taking more then fuel money. This is not to mention the fun that we had visiting area deer farms and watching Robert's deer. If you have not seen his animals you should look him up.He has Timex ,a Rolex son that is something special. He also has some 6x6 Cash yearlings that I could not get him to give me a price on.These are the kind of deer that we all hope to produce. I just wanted to share this bad experience turned good with in the friendship that I found in Missouri this past weekend. These are the type people that I hope to surround myself with and feel fortunate to call friend. People like these are what I love most about this industry. A sincerest Thank You from Lance Elledge of Crossroads Whitetails in Illinois.

Lance, it is great to see you post on here. Don't let this be the only time. I tried sending you an email from the business card you gave me at the sale but it came back as undeliverable. It was a pleasure meeting you and Albert.

That is awesome! Neighbor helping Neighbor, even if they are 120 miles away. Nice job Robert!

Thank you Crossroads for your positive post on friends helping others. This is another great light like Russ Jr giving $20,000 consignment to help the least of our brothers and sisters in Quatamala.

Lance,

In my opinion, you've met some of the best of the best in the entire industry. You'll be hard pressed to find a better group of guys than the ones you just mentioned. We've been lucky enough to have met and dealt with Steve, Mark, and Nathan. These guys will do whatever it takes to make you happy and to make sure you get what you purchased, as well as your moneys worth. Haven't had the pleasure of meeting Robert yet, but I'm sure we will when we take our trip around the Missouri farms in a couple of weeks. Good to hear you you got everything fixed. There's some great people in this industry.

Bravo !! I applaud the group of guys that helped a fellow deer farmer, and I applaud Lance for bringing this to everyones attention. Thats why I like this business so much, guys like that !!

Thank you Lance for all the wonder compliments!! I believe God works in great ways. I agree that the Missouri deer breeders that you mentioned are awesome people, along with many others out there. It was pleasure to get the opporuntity to make new friends and hear all the experiences that you have had and wanted to share. Maybe you will have another "bad experience" and we will get to run around all day looking at more deer. Ha!! Just kidding. Well, just on the bad expericence part. I am always up for running around looking at deer. It was great getting to know you and hope to get to know you even better in the near future.

This is an awesome Industry full of wonderful people....thanks for sharing the experience with us........hope to meet these guys myself someday!

Lance, if you had Albert with you and folks still gave you a hand and a place to stay then you must have been amongst saints and angels! I am still trying to get Robin settled down after you guys were here the other day and Albert got her all fired up!:) Ha Ha!!

If anyone hasnt yet met Lance and Albert, they will soon be major players in this industry as they have put together a super whitetail herd in the past year or so. They are also honest and ethical as can be so when they start selling deer you can buy from them without a worry. Don
