Michael....I thought people could see that I hand wrote Charly Seale on the ballot as a nominee. But not joking. I did send it with Charly as a write in vote.

I knew he had wrote the name in but I am still wondering when the ballots were sent out as I have not received any as of yet.
Roger...The date on the letter was Jan 29th So I would say I got mine the First week of Feb.
Roger have you contacted the NADeFA Office about NOT recieving your Voting Ballot? I sure hope this is an Isolated Incident. If there are other members that have also not recieved their Ballot yet. Please call the Office at # 330-454-3944 or Shawn Schafer @ 651-212-1315 Or If you know of other Members that have not......Please Pass This Information on! The Deadline is "Post Marked by March 4th"

Somehow my membership was listed as "additional active" instead of "active" and I was not entitled to vote. That has been cleared up and my ballot will be in the mail today. Thanks for starting this thread or this oversight would have gone unnoticed. I guess a great example of how raising points and creating discussion can lead to improvements. See ya at NADEFA!

yah, so what is the conflict of interest? Not the first time I've heard this and it just rubs me the wrong way. Charly is more than qualified to hold a position on the board, heck he probably could lead. I know one thing I trust him. A conflict of interest in my mind would be for example: he held a board position for HSUS or peta

That's a question for those in power at NADeFA. I do know there is concern about him setting on the Board of all the other major organizations, except NADeFA. It is possible for someone in his position to undermine one organization while trying to gain a position of more authority and more power with another very similar organization. He's done some good for the industry but it appears some may be questioning his motives. At any rate, I just keep hearing the same thing as you, conflict of interest.
As for your comment about HSUS or PETA, you might be surprised whose name you would find listed there.
