NADEFA CONFERENCE 2014

This was the first time I have ever attended a NaDefa Conference. It seemed to me like the attendance was great and most of the people that I talked to were enthused and optimistic about the deer business. There are several issues out there that the industry is dealing with but most folks remain positive.

The auctions were strong and the money raised was substantial.

I left the conference feeling good about the industry. What were your thoughts about NaDefa 2014?

We had a great time. Was glad to put some faces to the names from this website. We spoke to a few about our thoughts on how some things have been ran and by whom. Some of that didnt go over well i believe but you have to have truth from people if things are ever to get better in the future.

I know many did not like the idea of having an Assoc auction at the same time as the nadefa fundraiser so that may be something to learn from but all in all it was a great time again with some great people. Got me some Texas semen from some great guys and even won a 1200lbs feeder in a draw by just spending $35 dollars to become a member of the Alabama Assoc. Sucks we only had the van but im sure George will put it to good use in Alabama.

Oh did i mention its like a 16 hour drive from here to there but man that 75 degree weather sure was awesome.

I think i live in the wrong part of the world!!!!
