Obama’s Outrageous DOL Rules Will Restrict Minors From Working on Family Farms – Kill

Has anyone read this article on how the government would like to take away the rights of minors working on family farms? Interesting read. What are your thoughts on this?

This makes me want to vomit......Obama will do anything in his power to have all the control.....he wants the government to be in full control of our lives........before long (if Obama gets his way) we will have to ask the Goverment if we can take a pee.........November we must Vote this Mad Man out of office!

Around my part of the country the people that hire young people want farm raised kids because they at least have a work ethic. This is just another way to get young people on the hand out goverment programs ,you know to make us all equal and dependent on the goverment for our live. This new law will make our farm raised kids equal with city kids who don't want to work at all but want a check for just showing up if they show up for work at all. What a world we now live in. I want goverment to stay out of my life period and reward people that work for a living and stop rewarding lazy people. I'm sick of my tax dollar being used for the people that want a hand out.

I do want to be clear here people that need help should get it but to make a way of life out of these programs is discusting.

You nailed it on the head Jack. It's absolutely pathetic that hard workers are punished for succeeding, and the lazy non working bums receive something for nothing. It absolutely makes me sick! The American dream has been turned on its head, and unfortunately Im uncharacteristically pessimistic about it ever returning to "normal".

I know there are folks that need help, and we give to charities of our choice every year. But the handouts to perfectly capable people that choose to suck off the system is a disgrace to all the freedoms that we've fought so hard for to make America the land of opportunity and freedom. I'm afraid we may never get it back!

For it to even be considered is absurd!!

Get this the Concrete Company my son works for hired a guy who just got out of prison. He shows up each day and complains about everything. Today he went to his probation officer for release from house arrest (he was only able to leave to go to work)and they informed him that he was going to QAULIFY for DISABILITY ...............because he had a DRINKING and DRUG PROBLEM! So He quite today and went to sign up for his windfall! WOW sure makes you wonder were we are headed!

I don't like it either . It is probably the same or cheaper then the prison charged to keep him.

Maybe, but prison is a hell of a lot tougher road than riding your couch at home playing Xbox with your loser buddies.

what I was referring to is prison expense. It should not cost the public anything . make them earn their keep. then If they got out they might react different to job.

Folks how is it 90% of the people we talk to have the same exact feelings as the rest of us, but these boneheads remain in office and we can't seem to do anything to change it. I was always tought the government was for the people and backed what the people (majority) wanted, where has this country gone so far adrift? I feel very sorry for our children.

Nothing will be right till you stop the monopolies. they make everyone a laborer. There use to be laws against them. Must be big money changed those laws. there is no more small stores or small farms. small business can't compete. But there you go saying you should be able to make as much as you possibly can . but when do you call it a monopoly . no more billion airs. we need a greed law , to stop it. tell me who needs $900,000,000

I don't agree....it is Too Much Government involvement that has got us in the mess we are in......If someone works hard and becomes a billion air then so be it.....they worked hard for it......get rid of the unions....they are what is putting the small business under.....they Demand Too much and do Too little!! get the Health Care under control......small business cant afford it either!! These are the things that need addressed and the goof in the Whitehouse has not a Clue!!

ddwhitetails their is a lot wrong in this country and I share some of your views but the unions are not I repeat ARE NOT the problem this country was built with the swet and blood from union workers.



I myself am a union electrician and worked as a non union electrician before that for a few years do you no what the differance was?



When I was non union-

1. I had no health care

2. I had no pension

3. I made half of what I do now.

4. I had no one to back me we a contractor told me to do something unsafe

5. I had no overtime pay if I was made to work a weekend (made to work a weekend not asked).

6. The contractors from the non union shops charge the same to do a job as the contractors from union shops the differance is the men doing the work get treated like men and not slaves.



If you want to be treated like a slave then by all means do a way with the unions but if you want a better way of life a skilled labor force then we need the unions.



Also when I was a non union worker I was asked and did things I was not trained to do that looking back at put my life and others lives at risk as a union worker they make sure you have the training and are skilled to do the job.



keep in mind no one and I repeat no one is forced to be in the union not the worker or the contractor

I am not in total disagreement with you. Let me first say I am a non union Electrical contractor that is self employed. ( Who does not have the availability to collect unemployment or get government assistance because of being self employed ). I do believe unions have protected alot of non working employees over the years. There is alot of problems with both unions and non union shops. I for one will never work for a union again. ( I was a union electrician for several years ). I really think it is pretty simple, I believe the unions like our government protect alot of people who would just rather take the easy road. That being said I do believe there are alot of hard working individuals working for unions. I do know for some reason our government loves handing out money to lazy people, other countries and programs that just don't matter. I think it is pretty simple if we would just take care of our own.

The work ethic in this country is a big part of the problem as well. You can't find a young adult that can go to work and leave there cell phone in the car.

It always goes back to the hard working honest guy is the one getting screwed.

I am sorry but I can not agree with you regarding the unions......I think in the beginning they were created for the right reasons....BUT......they have now way over stepped their bounds and have gone way over and above what they deserve...to the point where they have put a lot of companies out of business......I am not saying all unions are bad....but unfortunately, most are! They have, as mentioned above, created a bunch of people that work less and demand more......it is driving this country, amongst many other things into the ground. Randy I am certain you are hard worker and are proud of your union......maybe yours is one of the few good ones that don't demand too much.......But the majority of the unions in this country have done more harm than good for the working people of America. By the way, my small company that employed close to 300 people at one time before part of it was sold was NOT union and I can assure you none were treated like slaves! In fact they had alot more benefits than you listed above. sorry but I am certain that this is going to be one of those things that you and i are going to have to agree to disagree on as I am sure we could argue our points forever.

Guys, each and every one of us know people who choose not to vote. Most of which say they know nothing about politics or they say "What will my one little vote count?"

I say to these people "This may be your last chance to vote for a president in our country as we know it!" If this man gets re-elected, he very well could be our last president in American history.
