I watched a couple hours online yesterday, and I must say, those prices really kind of sucked. I'd say 200" didn't average very much. ($4000 range)

The only ones that brought decent money were really "pretty" clean, tall and wide all together, but as I watched and thought to myself, "if that one was in MY pen, would I sell it that cheap?" My answer was "No" about 80% of the time.

Even a couple 300" only brought $7000-$8000.

Did anybody average them out? Thanks.

I did not watch to see what sold but why is 4k for a 200 inch deer bad?

Not what they used to be but try getting that price for 2 year old cattle. If thats as low as we go i think we will all be just fine!

That was more for the high 200's, low 200's were more in the $3000 range.

Some of my really nice 150-160's brought more than that working directly with a preserve. It's been one of my best years just working direct with them.

My BIG boys around 200" did me very well too this year.

Todd. I dont know too much about the shooter sale but I followed the breeder side. And I thought it was low. Bred doe for $200 after auction fees you just gave it away. My one friend had a group of 3 bred doe one money to a great looking buck and it went for 700

If a preserve owner has time for a sale this time of year he hasn't got enough business. ...lol
