Earlier this winter I had a button buck that was being mounted by tho other older bucks to the point where the hair was rubbed of off his sides. I moved him about 6 weeks ago. I put all the bucks back together yesterday and they have started again but on 2 of the button bucks. I know the answer to my problem is to separate them but I would like to know if anyone else has experienced this. I have been raising deer for almost 10 years and cant remember this ever happening.

I don't know why they do this. But I have a pen right now with 6 buck fawns in it and 1 turning 3 year old. The older buck follows around a jumps up on the young guns as well. I guess I never noticed it this much before this year.
Hey they are locked up in a small pen with a tall fence around it. Sounds like prison behaviour to me!

Yeah but with my bad luck if I got locked up it would be the same - all males. What a pain in the !!!!!
