overly pregnant doe

I have a doe that is verrrry pregnant. I am worried though because her milk has been down for about a week. I usually only notice it about a day or two before they fawn. She is huge and is obviously uncomfortable. Any thoughts?

I am in the same boat here. I had two. The first one was so low it was scary and then when she finally did try to deliver she had just the feet sticking out. Lucky she is tame and i pulled the first dead fawn the rest of the way. Problem was the second fawns head was folded back over its shoulders and i could not get it turned even though the doe just lay there and let me lube and get my hand in up past my forearm. Problem was that she would push when i got in there. Long story short is i had to knock her down at 80 degrees and pull fawn. The second doe still stands out here as big as a barrel. Ben i take it yours were live bred as mine were??

Not to worry Ben I have a doe that was huge and big milk sack for over 2 weeks, there all different! Good Luck!!

As stated. They r all different. Some won't get a bag ever. And some get a bag 2-3 weeks before fawns drop

I have seen big swollen milk bags and huge sagging bellies for up to three weeks before the doe fawned. And each time the doe fawned alright without trouble. I hope that is the case for you Ben. Good luck with her, keep us updated

ok thanks. I was just worried because Ive never had one do that before. This is even my third time breeding this doe.

We had one do that this year as well Ben but she delivered 3 healthy little girls!! Another didn't show a sack until about three hours before she delivered a healthy buck.

Forgot to let everyone know my doe finally had fawns about a week ago. two does and a buck. Ive kept my streak going, a set of triplets every year so far. different doe every year too.
