owning a deer in PA

We are about to get our first deer, a fawn, in May or June. What do we need to do, here in PA to legally own this deer? Do we register it with the Dept. of Ag? I'm just not sure where to start. Any help is appreciated . . . Thanks!

You need to call the department of ag here is Karen Martins number 814-883-1989. She will be able to point you in the right direction.

Congrats on getting your first, the Dept. of Ag has a certification program for breeders, or if your just keeping one for a pet theres a monitering program, When you call them they will send you a packet with info on each program. come to this site with questions and you will get help each step of the way, lots of great people on here willing to help.
