Probiotics and antibodies on same day

Maybe a silly question, but why is it recommended to give antibodies like drax/neuflor as well as pro biotic pastes at birth? Won't those two negate each other? Or should the timing be staggered by giving one a day before the other?

First year fawning

Great question...I too have been wandering about that for years. Seems silly to give an ecolizer etc....then put probiotics in at the same time. We've been doing it for years...always miss a few fawns and they do fine....scratch my head. If I stood on my head before checking fawns and they did well should I continue to do it...lol...

Asked this question elsewhere and got this answer:

Just as harmful viruses can grow resistant to antibodies so can the beneficial bacteria. They develop pastes it in the lab to be resistant to antibodies.

Seems legit.

I assume you mean antibiotics? Not anti bodies?   I see no reason to give antibiotics  to a newborn ( just Born, day one) however probiotics and antibodies can be extremely beneficial.

By the way...23rd year fawning.

Sam you are showing your age! Pay Day rockin and rollin?

Hey josh...what is the ecolizer and what's your opinion...yes payday has 25 points showing and going straight out..lol

Will the ecolizer kill the good stuff in fawn paste is what I'm asking...started using the ecolizer a long time ago on the advice of David McQuaig

Sam,  Ecolizer+C20 is antibody product from the research I have done. If anything it would compliment a fawn paste and the fawns immune system at birth. I have heard that it is not available this year. We have been getting a ton of calls for our Eco-Vac product it is similar in its coverage but different in its deliver.

Pay Day sounds like a beast. I'm sure he will impressive everyone again this year. Don't be shy about posting pics!
