Prop B on the Nov 2010 ballot is advertised to stop animal cruelty and to shut down "puppy mills". There are already laws against animal cruelty, this is just another way for the Humane society to control animal breeders and to get their foot in the door controlling agriculture livestock.

If passed it will:

Require larger living space per animal.

Require each animal to visit a Licensed Vet and health records be kept to their satisfaction.

Require rest periods between each breeding cycle.

Require animals to be feed and watered to THEIR satisfaction.

Here's the biggie! A 50 animal limit.

Do you have 50 animals on your farm? Just think if they passed this for cattle, poultry, deer, and elk. How many of you would this effect?

Now I'm not saying we shouldn't have laws on animal cruelty, I'm just saying we don't need new ones. Enforce the ones we have.

This will only hurt The Family Breeding Businesses.

If your a Missouri voter Please vote No on Prop B.

Would of posted a few links to read about on this but wasn't sure what was and wasn't allowed.

It would hurt. Only have 57 deer right now but manage almost 9,000 pigs and sows combined (Missouri). I was talking to my field manager yesterday about Prop B...he said it could easily pass with the endorsements they are getting for it. He also told me that someone went to a convention with a clipboard and was trying to gather names on a petition to have Dihydride Oxygen removed from everything. The gatherer explained that this chemical was used in making food, drinks, etc, and that many didn't know how much they were consuming. Didn't say it was bad for them, just that it should be removed from every consumable product. She even said it was found in water! Dihydride Oxygen is....H20. Yep, water itself. She got a lot of names written down. This is the same strategy that the tree huggers are using to woo the public into voting for issues they don't often understand.

Dog and domestic animal breeders lost their fight against Prop B in Missouri 51-49%. This limit how many animals they can have. What's gonna happen when they put a limit on how many cows or chickens a farmer can have? Will they try to regulate deer and elk farms with this law? Only time will tell.
