I don't post much on here, usually Mike does all of that but sometimes I have to put my 2 cents in.
I know what it is like to put on a big convention and make sure that you have your basis covered but I think this year alot of people are disappointed. I think year after year, some things are changing and not always for the better. I hope that NADeFA will take the constructive criticism well and listen to the members.
The rooms are fair. We travel a lot and the rooms here are not top quality. They are very small, beds are uncomfortable but then again we are at NADeFA where sleep is sometimes not a requirement.
The food has not been the greatest. In the previous years, the food was much better. No breakfast has been served, just lunch and dinner....Is this something new? Good thing there are restaurants near by and I always pack snacks.
They close the exhibit area down at 6pm because of security and everyone attends dinner and the auction. I understand the auction is the fundraiser for NADEFA but there were not many people in there by the end of the night last night.
I also understand that you have to have a big convention center with a hotel nearby to accommodate everyone but these big cities are a bit too much for some of these trucks and trailers that have to navigate down narrow streets.
I guess we will see what next year has to bring. Some talk has been maybe Florida??? Guess we will see..... Until then.....
