We have a tree down on the fence in one of our buck pens. It's too dangerous to do any assessment or repair. I sure hope none of them get out. We lost power a few minutes ago. I sure hope I never see a storm like this again.
Good luck Todd......it is nasty out there.......not looking forward to seeing the mess in the morning......so far still have power here.....but I think we will lose it soon......wind is picking up pretty good now!
I hope all my fellow deer farmers in PA and surrounding states are ok. Sandy was everything they said and more. We monitiored our deer and fence thru 55-60 mph winds and the pens held fine. Trees and power lines are down everywhere and they are slowly getting everybody back on line.We only had 1 tree on the fence and it bounced off answering my question on the integrity of our pens. Again I hope all is well!
Shade cloth down and one NEAR miss with a tree near the pen...... Thank you Lord for watching over my farm, my prayers were answered. I hope everyone is doing well, be safe, i think the storm has just about ended, so that is good news for us and our deer.
Luckily we didn't lose any of our deer. We had a couple fence repairs that needed to be made and a few trees down, but overall we came out if it ok. Now to just continue the cleanup. I'm hoping we get our power back today.
