Scam Artist

You should never trust emails like this, unless the person says they're a prince from Nigeria or something :) just kidding! I'm surprised the person on the site didn't offer more money because they were stuck with someone else's funds, and then have the seller wire back the overage-thus getting the seller's bank acount number, bank routing number, etc, so they could suck the rest of the account dry.

A friend of a friend was contacted and told that she'd won some lottery (this was an elderly woman, not too quick to ask the right questions) and the lottery department wanted to wire her winnings to her account. Of course, she gave them the information, it got cleaned out, and she closed the account and called back to tell them that she was going to run them down and press charges. The fraudulent party assured her that there had been some sort of mistake and that they would return the money that was pulled from her account and forward the winnings, too. So, guess what she did? Gave them her new account number and guess what happened? Cleaned out again!

computer criminals, there must be a reason why they are not stopped. If I were judge.
