I believe the smell comes from the burr attachment and have washed them with bleach and it helped....just do the very bottom or you might get some "whitening" of the antler where you don't want it. Jim
Boil the very base and scrub then soak in a bucket of dawn dish soap and repeat... I do caution not to boil the whole shed it could discolor it. Also I mean boil like twenty minutes.
