Wondering what kind of shooters texas breeders on here have available this year? There are a few people looking. Its getting close to that time..........

No Liveoak, Your just on the wrong side of the river. I have some 170"'s, and a couple 150"+ this year. I'm starting to wonder what the market is going to be here in Oklahoma. Your right, it is time. Anybody?????????

Man...Jay, I'm looking to buy those size bucks,150-180, and it may be that the river wont matter in a couple years, heard recently a couple "key" people have advised tpwd if theyre gonna keep the borders closed they better come up with something better than cwd.... we'll see. I was just hoping to see what some people on here had for sale this year.

Steve - how many and what's your budget? We are getting our list together for TDA.

Gosh i hope the borders open up! it would make big diffrence in my plans, right now i see no need to expand. There is no market here from what i seen less you want to give away! i just hobbying till i see a change, is it greed or cwd? my deer southern acclimated,no ehd ever, dont vaccinate either,so my deer pretty tough!! i will never vaccinate, for ehd, if they live here they live there also. boy this could start a fued:eek: If any body want one antlered 2 yr old buck in OK for next yr. he cheap!! this Week.Dc

dc you are correct untill the borders open up we ( oklahoma ) have a pretty tough market to deal with , if Texas opens its borders then we should be able to also transport our deer across them to La we have a nice market share there at least . If we grow deer that the hunters are willing to pay top dollar and are durable enough to make it a year or more on a preserve we should not have any trouble selling all our shooters any where .

rockingH, That issue of transporting across TX for you guys to get to La was talked about A LOT when we all went to D.C. to meet with lawmakers and such. I won't say who because there is so much "hard feelings" among some over the borders open vs borders closed issue. But a great guy from down that way worked hard to lobby for transport across state lines. I have not heard any updates on how things are going on that. Good luck with it.

Thanks Roger , yeah we had the same problem with transporting them across arkansas but finally got that taken care of ,of course have needed to go that way sence :)

ps who do fly for Roger ?

Been laid off since Jan 5th so right now, no one. I was flying for a company called Kalitta. The owner is Connie Kalitta the drag racer if you follow that stuff. He owns about 23 Boeing 747 's and they haul anything to anywhere. Mostly all international flying.

Anything from steel pipe for oil rigs, to flowers, to race horses, to whales, to stuff we don't talk about. When the whale Shamoo (sp) went on his breeding tour that was Kalitta. When the Kings and Sheiks want their race horses moved that is Kalitta. When the government needs stuff moved a lot of it is done by Kalitta. It isn't the kind of flying I did before Kalitta I can tell ya that!

Before Kalitta I flew passengers for the airlines. BORING!!! And people suck! All they do is complain and bitch. If a plane breaks they seem to think we ENJOY the hassles associated with that. They seem to think we just have another $30,000,000 airplane just sitting around waiting for us. Because their $200 ticket to fly round trip across the country gives us that much profit the airlines can afford to have planes just sitting around everywhere waiting.

Oooops. Sorry didn't mean to go off like that:eek:

I guess I really like the cargo stuff better than the passenger stuff:p

I have thought about maybe finding the right corporate gig. But I think the good jobs are all taken for now. Oh well... there is always the deer right?:)

Robbie, I'm looking for 8-10 in that range right now, that number may go up some by the time sept 1 rolls around.

You are so correct I work for JAPATS with who we haul you would think they would just be happy to get from point a to b but nooo!! They have more rights than you and I .Somehow they think that if they sit on a ramp at 115 for over an hour and the planes not cold then us ( the dumb mecs ) should be able to just toss parts at it and make it better . Yeah you are correct there is always the deer :D you have to just love the aviation industry .

Wow.....Roger you must have had some real @!@holes for passengers when you were flying passengers........I guess your right the cargo can't bitch and complain...:D
