About a week ago we noticed that a buck on our preserve is sick. He is skin and bones with a bloated belly. With all the wet weather, we thought it must be worms, even though we wormed in spring. We gave him a dose of ivomec orally on a piece of bread, since becoming ill he is letting us get close to him. Now it's been about four days, and his belly looks a little less bloated, but now he has yellow mucus coming out of his nose. His breathing does not appear labored. Plan is to dart him with draxxin tomorrow. Also considering treating with valbazen for liver flukes, but there may still be does that have not had their fawns, if we use pour-on. Anyone have any ideas on whats going on with him or what other treatment may be in order? Sure appreciate any advice, I don't think he will last long without aggressive treatment.

i would shoot him up with draxxin every 2-3 days. also give banamine and b-12. the banamine will relieve any pain, and the b-12 should make him want to eat and make him feel like hes doing better.
