I have done it with dogs (beagles) with good success. Dont know the pros and cons doing it with deer. Let me know your opinion or experience if you have done it
That's how Cougar Ridge's famous Blue 37 was breed. I've got a very tightly breed buck fawn that is not exactly breed like that but his parents were 7/8 brother/sister.. He's been in good health thus far hopefully he does something next summer.
They are totally unrelated in every way. She throws nice 2 year Olds. But she threw a really nice buck that is a yearling this year and thought maybe that putting him on her would grow a little bigger 2 year old. The yearling damaged his one side early, but the side that grew, had 2 drops, split g-2 and nice long main beam and points... that one side scored 68 inches with no spread and no other side to measure
Regolds I have exposed sons back to there mothers for years ! And have had very good success with antler size and body size over the years ! But, have been asked by 2 different guys over the years who were at my farms to pull seman, how tight r my deer being breed both stated smaller then average testicle size for age of animals good not great Seman quality ! Bucks live covered does just fine and there Seman used to Lap AI. Did just fine ! Hell did not think much of it figured small balls better then no balls LOL
Bell. I believe guessing plays a role in breeding especially in deer that don't really have a pedigree to follow.... follow the heart is what my grand father used to say. Worked for my first wife. Lol
