Sandridge Whitetails said:Ben - I've just read the label on my Panacur, and as jeffreylee had suggested, Panacur is suppose to get rid of tapeworms.
I know that it comes in powder as well as liquid.
Sandridge Whitetails said:crocket - With the powder, I've always top dressed the feed, which is one big pain trying to make sure every one got their dose. Ya got to give just enough feed of course to where they will eat it all up at one ''go of it'', or else the dose just gets further out of your control.
The liquid I've used on fawns and I don't know why you couldn't use it on a tame adult doe by simply syringing it into their mouth...did I say ''simply''? Is anything ever simple with these guys?!
The liquid Panacur that I have is 100mg/ml and the dose for the removal of tapeworm in beef cattle is 4.6 ml per 100 lb.
So, the dose really isn't too awful big to give to a tame doe via syringe if ya had/wanted to.
As far as I know crocket, I don't think there is any particular sign for tapeworms as opposed for any other worm...just take a fecal in and have the vet check it out.

Some of my kids say were the only people in the world that takes interest in the droppings and it is a family joke but quite true.
