TB blood test

Heard from a couple other farmers that their tb blood test went great, has anybody else had good results with the blood test?  just curious, thanks, Mike

We tested 9/28/2013 with the TB stat-pak. We only tested 4 (2 buck, and 2 doe), and they all came back first round as negative. I don't know the details, but my understanding is that sometime in early September there were changes to way the results are being read.

Negative on 50+ bucks as of right now over the last couple of weeks.  Did 15 or 16 today and 9 more to go next Friday.  Did do skin test on does because they are trained very well for working and to save money.  Blood test is over twice as much.

We tested our whole herd using blood test and they all came up negative we used our local vet for our bucks when we cut antlers and we used Rachel Weiss for our does just a couple weeks ago.

Vet told me $20 vs the $8 for the skin test.  I was going to do all the does too, but decided to go cheaper with them since they were easy to run thru the chute.  I will know more when I get the bill.

Do those figures include your vet's time??  Our vet doesn't charge by the deer but rather the length of time she is here.  If she only has to come out once versus twice, even if the blood test was higher in cost, it might be about even - and you don't have to spend the time running your deer through a second time.

My vet charges 27.50 per deer that's tb /bru test .skin or blood on tb test does that sound like to much

Were doing ours this december. Were talking about usng the blood test since we dont have a handling facility, even though the blood test is more its still cheaper than knocking them down twice.
