As someone who was in Edmonton a few years ago working I can tell ya she gets cold up there eh.

One morning we left the hotel and went to the airport. The minimum temp restriction for the aircraft I was due to fly that morning was minus 40C which by the way is the same as minus 40F. Now that is NOT windchill but in fact the actual temp.



I recall tuning into the ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information System) and hearing the temp. "I said well I guess we aren't going any place for a while."

It was reporting an outside air temp of minus 47C

Crazy!
