I am pretty sure most are of the opinion I have about the deer industry. Crippled and dying although we hate to think about it. I pop on here occasionally out of curiosity and a force of habit I guess. I assume many others do also.
There are a lot of really good people in the industry. Many people with incredible talents and a whole host of varied interests. I am curious what folks are doing these days. I will start off and I hope many others will chime in.
Deer wise, yes I still have them. It is hard to let them amputate even though the infection is bad. LOL!
I am currently putting my home up for sale. (Deer are located elsewhere) It is a 4 bedroom and has a large attached garage, a 2 1/2 car detached garage and a huge metal pole building. All sits on 40 acres with awesome wildlife activity. Hate to sell, but I want to move about an hour and a half away. Planning to get married to a special girl. Her children are in the school district down there so I need to move to be with them. I will be looking for land and will build our dream home then. Will be in the Tomah WI school district if anyone has land for sale.
I just recently upgraded at work. From first officer to captain. Have to admit, pretty proud of that one! Many pilots work their entire career and never even fly a Boeing 747 much less get to be the captain.
I finally sent in my application and now have my concealed carry permit. My fiancé Melissa and I both like shooting guns for a hobby. It only made sense we do that also. We both like shooting clay targets also. Have not really done any hunting lately. Really need to get back into that! I want to do some of the exotic type hunts. I think TX is in the future for that. Also plan to do a moose hunt in Alaska.
As I type this it is snowing. Yuck! I want warm sunny skies so we can go ride the bike! I own a Victory Cross Country Tour. Riding is a passion for me!!! Best part is Melissa loves it also!!! For sure doing a ride to Thunder Bay Ontario this summer.
I also have gotten into lifting weights. Trying to add some size to this old body! I really enjoy working out in the gym. Love the feeling it gives me and it is fun watching the body changes happen.
Guess I will stop there. Look forward to seeing what others have going on in their lives. The life after deer! LOL!
