It is so disheartening how sad and distraught this world is. I just happen to have walked through this very Christmas market just a few hours before the attack so this story sticks out for me more than other news stories at the moment. I realize this is only one of many sad stories in the world. In fact I was staying at the hotel across the street from the bombing at the British embassy in Bahrain the day after the attack a week and a half ago. I walked over to see first hand the damage there.

It makes a person wonder if the world will ever get on a better path, or if it will continue to degrade until there is nothing but total chaos in the streets.

Hey Roger,

This makes me sick to read. People getting killed out shopping for loved ones. My wife and I are trying for our first baby in 2012. It really makes me wonder what he or she will see in their lifetime. I hope and pray that this world takes a big turn for the better by then.

Roger, I am sorry you had to experience this terrible act first hand but I am also glad you are ok. You are correct in saying that the world is basically falling apart. It is so very sad to see how some have such disreguard for life that they will kill everyone they can.

I don't want to sound like a preacher......but as long as this world keeps distancing itself from GOD the problems will only continue and get worse.......I hope and pray that we as a world bring our father back to help show us all the way!! Until then.........well......we are living it! God Bless us all!

I personally believe we live in the last days that the Bible talks about and that there will be a great falling away (we are seeing that now) but rest assured Christ will be calling his church home in the not too distant future, 1yr, 5 yrs, 10yrs, 20yrs, no one knows for sure but I believe it will be soon based on what the Bibles sayes regarding the generation that will not pass. Dont get me wrong the world will not be destroyed at this time, after he calls his church home the world will go thru a terrible tribulation period and that my friend you do not want to be a part of. Do you know him, please watch this

Rick I was talking to a preacher friend of mine a few months back and he also said he thinks we are living in the end times.

Jared,

Many things indicate that this is true if you believe the Bible to be Gods Word...

Roger 6 dead this is so sad just as you said,

Don't mean to sound like a pessimist, but I doubt things are going to get better, yet make no mistake about it, the best is yet to come for those of us who believe.

The Word tells us that no one but God Himself knows the hour/time of the last day, but we will know the season - I too believe we are in that season right now. Many things that are currently going on around the world are lining up perfectly with what was prophesied thousands of years ago. I'm ready to stay as long as He wants me here, but I'm also SO VERY READY for HIS return. :) I love you King Jesus!!!

Yes Mark I do believe you are right......but only time will tell.........I am ready for whatever he has planned for me.......He is an awesome God and he loves us so much......I just don't think he can watch us suffer for too much longer......I am ready for his return as well........but it will be in his time...when ever that may be......I am good with it!!

Not to change the subject, but I read this morning that Kim Jung Il of North Korea died today...I was excited until I heard the media saying that his successor, his son, might be even less stable than he was. I have friends in South Korea-I can't imagine hating anyone as much as those two countries do.

Isaiah 54

The Eternal Covenant of Peace

*1 "Sing, O barren one, who did not bear;

***break forth into singing and cry aloud,

***you who have not been in labor!

For the children of the desolate one will be more

***than the children of her who is married," says the LORD.

2 "Enlarge the place of your tent,

***and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out;

do not hold back; lengthen your cords

***and strengthen your stakes.

3 For you will spread abroad to the right and to the left,

***and your offspring will possess the nations

***and will people the desolate cities.

*4"Fear not, for you will not be ashamed;
***be not confounded, for you will not be disgraced;
for you will forget the shame of your youth,
***and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more.
5 For your Maker is your husband,
***the LORD of hosts is his name;
and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer,
*** the God of the whole earth he is called.
6 For the LORD has called you
***like a wife deserted and grieved in spirit,
like a wife of youth when she is cast off,
***says your God.
7 For a brief moment I deserted you,
***but with great compassion I will gather you.
8 In overflowing anger for a moment
***I hid my face from you,
but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,"
***says the LORD, your Redeemer.

*9"This is like the days of Noah[a] to me:
***as I swore that the waters of Noah
***should no more go over the earth,
so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you,
***and will not rebuke you.
10For the mountains may depart
***and the hills be removed,
but my steadfast love shall not depart from you,
***and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,"
***says the LORD, who has compassion on you.
