I have a doe that was A.I. ed on 11/09/2009 the back up buck was put in with her on 11/30/2009 she had her fawns on 06/07/2010 that would have her at 209 days after A.I. is this to late or still in the right time frame.

Your AI buck would in most cases be over June 2. Your back up buck could start his fawns June 4. You would have to DNA fawns to be sure. 209 days could be from AI but not real likely as the odds are against you but we have seen does carry that long.

You are on the borderline it could go either way. You deffinatly will need a dna to tell for sure.Your either at 188 days with back up wich is normal or 208 days with ai wich is starting to stretch it but is not unheard of.

What do you think of this. We A.i.ed on November 14th, and had a doe give birth today, June 9th. What are the odds of this being out of AI? It probabely does not matter, but the doe is 15 years old. What are your thoughts?

Dillan,

That puts you at 207 days, your in the same boat RLA whitetails. DNA is a good bet for this fawn. Did you use a back up buck and when?

Was woried that the A.I. buck did not take, high dollar straw was realy wanting fawns from him. I looked and the dates were wrong, was A.I.ed 11-12-09 and backup was turned in 21 days later. the second doe A.I ed to the same buck did not take for sure she is still not had fawns.
