Last month, Nora Kilpatrick 66, was taking the cover off her running Arctic Cat snowmobile when the cover caught the throttle causing the machine to lurch forward at high speed . Nora was struck by the snowmobile which then hit a parked car.She died later in the hospital.Nora retired last year from her school job to spend more time as a wildlife rehabilitator at her Second Chance Ranch which she started in1999.I met Nora about 7 years ago after the game warden dropped her off a orphaned fawn. When ever that happened she would me for advice which I truly loved to give.About six years ago and many fawns and my expertise she named me Deer Whisperer.

In honor of her you can be sure the first doe fawn born at DEER RANCH this spring will be named Nora.

Sorry to hear that...What a special story and special women it sounds like she will be missed by many, both human and animals...Prayers are sent...

and Nora is a great name for a fawn... ;)

Deer Whisperer, after reading your story there will probably be several Nora's born this spring. Thanks for sharing. Allen

Prayers for Nora and her family. May she be met at the gates by the fawns that she saved over the years.
