United Deer Farmers of Michigan (UDFOM) 2015 Convention.  Biggest Yearling Contest




 




UDFoM is hosting a largest yearling buck contest once again this year. Eligible entries will be from any semen won in games or purchased either on live auction, online, or on silent auction from our 2015 convention. Our convention will be on March 13 and 14, 2015 at the Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt Pleasant MI. 




 


To enter our contest, semen will have to be used in the 2015 breeding season.  A maximum of 3 does can be bred per straw of semen.




 




 


All does will have to be registered/entered with UDFoM along with their DNA numbers and which semen they were AI'd with by Dec 31, 2015. There is no limit for entries by any one farm or person.  Buyers of semen without A-I capabilities can go into partnership or buy open does & have them bred by farms who A-I.  The contest is not limited to Michigan buyers & we encourage everyone in every state to join in the fun.


 



 




The prize for biggest yearling will be $2,500 from UDFoM paid at our convention in 2018 when these bucks will be 1 1/2 years old.  Along with the prize money the winner will also get a free full page ad & a farm article in the Quest magazine. The donator of the semen will also get a full page ad in the Quest Magazine.  Scoring will be done at the UDFoM convention by an official SCI scoring panel.
