I have ha fawn I got just over a month ago, she was abandoned by her mother in the wild ( she was watched for a few days) so please dont bash me for having her.... my question is this....

I am guessing she is about 6 to 8 weeks old

I can keep her as a pet but I need to know what I need to do as far as vaccinating her and what I can feed her, at the moment she she takes about 60 oz of red cap a day, and has a supply of dirt, grass and caf menna but I know they eat other things... but like what?

she needs to be on some kind of feed like Purina deer chow or Record Rack. If she is 8 weeks old, reduce the number of bottle feedings to 2-3 times per day. She needs to begin to get her nutrients from dry feed. Keep adding the calf manna and continue to allow her to brows on grasses. Some vaccinations that I would give her is a CD and T anti toxin like Covexin 8. You can pick this up from any Co-op or feed store. I would also recommend fuso-guard. You can search this forum and find all kinds of stuff on fawn vaccines. She needs some type of probiotic added to her milk. Stay away from high fiber diets as too much fiber causes scours. Also, keep the bottles clean to prevent bacterial scours. if she is on straight clover, watch out for bloat. Good luck!
