We just started last year with 3 fawns and it was our experience that if you have water available they will drink more as they grow and you begin to decrease the amount of bottle feedings.
One of our does had trouble making the transition so what we did just held the lid and the nipple into the water. She pulled the water up through the nipple then we pulled the nipple away and she would continue to drink for a little while. This lasted for 2 - 3 days then she was fine.
