You should get the temp of the fawn and see if he's under 100 degrees. If he is get him warm with towels heated up in the dryer or put him on a heating pad. Check to see if he has mucas in nose. Is it clear or does it have color(yellow or Green) in it. If it does you may want to give antibiotic. Is he rattleing in his chest when he beathes? If so I would make that antibiotic Draxxin probably about .5cc sq. It will last for about 3 days then repeat if neccessary. Get some more warm milk in him if you can. Check his backside and see if it is dirty. That could mean scours. If he has scours treat according to symptoms such as is there blood in stool. Does it smell extra bad? What color is it. These could all be indicators of a problem. If you can get more info it might help figureing out the problem. Also if you have any vitamin A D that will help a weak or streesed fawn. Rick

I would worm him with Ivomec Plus orally(1/4 to 1/3cc), 3 to 4cc of C&D antitoxin orally, and since I'm a fan of Draxxin 1/4 to 1/3cc of Draxxin-subque. You are apt to have to tube feed him to sustain him until your meds begin to kick in. Is that how you got those 3 oz. in him, or did he actually drink from a bottle? That's all I know to do, maybe someone can help you further.

Nuflor would work especially if it was an intestinal bacteria. It is similar to baytril I beleive. I just always use draxxin if it appears to be respitory. Rick

B12 !! is the stool bloody and are there other fawns with this similar sign.. Fluids are the secreet to life, keep them hydrated!!! I like lactated ringers sq and be careful giving banamine to dehydrated animals especially fawns, it will damage the kidneys.. God bless
