What to Do for Deer That Ate Thistles

I need help with my old doe. She got into a patch of thistles (through the fence) and now she is drooling and grinding her teeth and honestly acts like she may die. She has eaten them before and has not had this reaction. I darted her and gave her an antibiotic and some Bantamine and looked and felt in her mouth and jaws. I didn't see or feel anything but I also didn't associate her problem with the thistles until after I had darted her and was on the forums and found one post when I searched her symptoms. She's between 18 and 20 years old and I had a hard time getting her to come around so I won't sedate her again unless its a life or death situation. The other post didn't say what to do when deer eat thistles or if its dangerous or not. It has me concerned.

I feel fortunate. I've had deer for four years and I've only had to ask a question one other time. All other times I could find an answer by searching. Any help is greatly appreciated. And those thistles that I have left for cover are gone as soon as I get off of here. Thanks!

we had a good patch in one of our pens and they liked them for shade.  Had one doe that I think scratched her cornea but she healed fine. Did not have any issues with eating them.

She seems to be doing better. I think she must have gotten one or more of the little stick things that cling to your pants legs when you walk past them hung in her jaw or throat. Or maybe even a piece of the stem. Whatever it is her drooling has almost stopped and she's moving around better. I feel better anyway. She must have had an infection going on and the meds are helping. She feels better and so do I:)
