SAMMY'S MOM SAID
Please pray for Sam on Tuesday as he will be admitted for a 5 night chemo stay as well as receiving end of chemo scans. We are praying this will be his last inpatient chemo and that his scans will be clear...that Sam will be NED (No Evidence of Disease). I am posting a link for a song called "Hold On' by a group called 33 miles. It speaks to my heart and I pray it speaks to yours as well.

Sammy's mom wrote
Hello to all! We are home. We just arrived home this afternoon. I am sorry I was not able to update on caringbridge throughout the week but we did not have very good internet reception and did not bring our laptop with us to Florida. Our family had an amazing trip. I promise to write more tomorrow to share all the details. Everyone really had a good time. We left the Give Kids The World Village today to head to the airport with both Sam and Caitlin crying in the back seat of the van b/c they did not want to leave. Make A Wish and Give Kids The World truly made this a once in a lifetime trip for our family. Some of the highlights of the trip was meeting the families of Truman Hedrick and Sam Blakemore, meeting the Fink family (a family that has been praying for Sam all year and follows his caringbridge website) and meeting David Currie in the Atlanta airport. He had been following Sam's story and praying for him as well. He recognized Sam and saw his name on the back of Sam's wheelchair and approached our family to introduce himself. I am amazed at all of the lives that our son has touched and how his story has touched so many. What a pleasure to meet all of these people and families. The kids loved Disney, meeting all of the characters, riding the rides, eating good food and just relaxing...though we did not do a lot of relaxing. We were able to see my Dad, stepmom and sister this weekend as well and had 2 days of wonderful visits with them. Thank you all so much for praying us through this week. Sam felt great, nobody got sick and everyone held up really well. It was so hot in Florida and I think the heat got to everyone a little bit...we had some occasional grumpy moods by everyone as a result of the heat but for the most part the kids did really great. I will post pictures and give more of an update tomorrow. I just wanted to let everyone know we are home and thank you for praying for us. How comforting to our family to know that we are being prayed for even when we don't post on caringbridge.
