Which sire would you breed with?

I'm wanting input about a choice sire for my doe? She is a full sister to Edwin Ropp's Sunriser 350"+ @ 4yr. (Sundowner x Goliath/Mary W-75). I own her mom as well. Sire choices are but not limited too: Bw Sunny ,Sunny Jr.,Grand Canyon. What's your thoughts?- Jason

Grand Canyon, From what I'm seeing he is going to get it done! But BW Sunny is a proven as it gets !

Jason do you have the full pedigrees down on a pedigree sheet to look at? For the doe you want to breed and for each possible breeding sire.

I will take a peek at them and message you my opinion for her.

I could not go off to much on the doe but from studding the pedigrees of the boys I feel Wayne has hit it on the head for your best results

Jason, Here are my thoughts as to using Grand Canyon on your Sunriser doe.......BW Grand Canyon is Maxbo on W78 Sunshine she is a BW Sunny doe and Sunriser is Sundowner/BW Sunny on top so......... I feel Blossers very best,a pinch of Maxbo, a splash of Flees (Sundowners dam W-31(BJ/Maggie) and a big ol cupful of DOUBLE BW SUNNY..........That will be a sugar fix for any farm!



Or you can just look @ Nathan Blossers and Xtrerme Whitetails and see how ol BW Sunny has worked for them!



P.S ...........I have seen SUNRISER and he is a STUD and I might just have a picture of him from this summer I will try to post later!

No Prob Jason. I just enjoy looking at pedigrees and thought it would be fun to look them over sitting here in Leipzig Germany the next couple of days.

Reading Wayne's post it sounds like pretty sound advice. I know that Sunny is one of the better kept secrets in the industry. There is a certain special doe in the south who is doing a pretty good job of taking her place in the industry as one of the all time greats. And hmmm she just happens to have double Sunny in her.

HEY DUDE! I get to Ramstein fairly often. Last month I repositioned to Kaiserslautern and then flew out of ETAR. My Nov schedule shows me doing something again but I shouldn't say yet where. This month I don't think I will get there though. Done on the 24th so time is running short unless it is back to a base in the States.

It would be great to sit and have a cold one and chat about deer over there.

Jason, Just got back from Edwins...........Sunriser 353" not counting anything he had broken off,30" beams,22 inches inside Super Big Frame! and his full brother is in your nieghbor hood and scored 304" this year! Better just scrap the idea of breading her and I'll arange to have her shipped back to Mo. and will cut down on your stress of what to breed her to!

I been to Pa and back last few days. Time is flying!!!! I'm Sorry I didn't get on here sooner Wayne. Did you want their mother or just the full sister? I have made up my mind on what's going in these does! Ready for this? W-75 (Momma to both Sunriser and Downright ) will be AI to SAVAGE. I think this will be the only cross of its kind. She has both a yearling BW SUNNY son and a SOARING EAGLE buck fawn at my farm. These are her only Four sons to date. I realize this was not one of the options originally listed, I'm sorry. I feel Bambi's width on Sundances mom won't hurt. As for P-1 ( Sunrisers Full Sister) she will AI to Mark Sipes SATISFACTION!!!! I FEEL THIS SHALL BE AWESOME? A complete outcross on this one. Well now you know, so I'm ready for cross examination !!
