Has anyone used white cedar (arborvitae) for fence posts? I'm cuttting some big trees and was thinking I could use some of them for corner posts if they don't rot. Should I let them dry some?

IKE: I have white cedar post that have been in the ground for 40 years. The ones that Im replacing are the ones the previous owner did not peel the bark off them.still they lasted a long time.just be sure to peel or use a draw knife to remove any bark that is under ground. You can cresote them to make them last longer.

Thanks...I was figuring to remove the bark. 40 years will outlast me!! :D
