They surely are not letting items sell last night when it was that slow! It would of taken me 5 minutes to get a bid in.

last week the hard drive went down if allot of people are on the server at one time it will slow down the more traffic the slower it is just like a road in rush hour

I know i missed out on one i had bids on,I was high with like 15min left to go.Tried to get back on and by the time i got hooked up auction was over.Someone lost on that one as i was going after it. Well someone got a great deal but the seller...could have been better. I guess with that many people on the site to slow it down that much is a plus in the long run,with that much intrest!!!

Hello All. Well the good news is that the site didnt crash, it simply slowed wayyyyyy down for 10 minutes. Last week (October 5) it was a hardware malfunction, this week (October 12) it was simply an overload on the system from overwhelming traffic on the site. There were bids placed right through the slowdown by some, but we understand not by all who wished to. We HAVE IDENTIFIED THE PROBLEM.
I am no computer genius (that would be Richard) so I asked him to dummy it down for me. Essentially what happens is that every time someone refreshes there page or goes to another page tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of things get refreshed. when you get over 200 people doing the same thing, it just redlined the system and slowed things down. We have identified a way to stop this from happening and we are on it 24/7 to get it remedied. I guess we tried to have too big of a night and it the system slowed too much.
Rest assured that the system did not crash, that part was fixed last week. Rest assured that we will not rest until we get this next bump in the road fixed before next weeks auction. We would like to thank all of our loyal customers for their understanding.

, but if everyone would just place their maximum bid they will pay the system will take care of it! This is why they set up the proxy bid. I did it last night and then went to bed early. I woke up this morning and found out that I had won the item i wanted and it was $20 cheaper than my maximum bid. I'm Happy with the win and I got some extra sleep.
