I just got back from colorado on a week long elk hunt. I think 75% percent of the non resident plates i saw was from Wisconsin and a good number of the rest were from PA. You guys up there must take your hunting about as serious as we do here in PA.

How did you out there? I went 9 years in a row I was blessed by the Lord to get several bulls and several cows, but due to feed bills for the deer, I have taken the last 2 years off. My dad is out there now, yesterday was the first day for elk rifle, they got 2 bulls out of the 7 of them, they have until Friday to hunt then they are coming home. To me, there is no town like Pagosa Springs, Colorado. I would love to live there, it is so beautiful.
We did fairly well there were 6 of us that went and killed 4 bulls. The one guy that didnt get saw a couple of bulls but wasnt sure they were legal until they were off of the public ground onto the private. They both could have shot cows but held out for a bull. We have been going to Colorado for 9 years know and i have been lucky enough to shoot a bull every year. I know one of these years my streak will end but like you i just love being there taking it all in.
