Has anyone seen this before? I have 3 year old with some kind of blood scab growth or damage to his antler. Don't know if its infected or just a small hole in the velvet that seeped out some blood and its just collected to the velvet and the fly's seem to be attracted to it. What do you think...
Below is a link to a video that I think other farmers may find interesting and helpful. The video is of the antler removal procedure we had to perform on our yearling, Bigdeal on July 22, 2013. Below is a list of the steps we followed. Last year we performed the same procedure on Wideout...

Just wanted to share Tea's growth cycle this year. Truely amazing how far he has come since last year. Being a triplet he was a little behind last year. He is making up for it this year. If you look at photos of Texas Tea and Challenger you see the distinct features of both bucks. Tea is is a...

What your opinion of either first hand knowledge or "tribal" knowledge of tranquailizing your bucks to move them during the growing season? Other than undo stress for whatever reason?
For me, I have NOT seen any significant growth problems on those that go down easy or damage from thrashing...
