If someone has does with 160 inch genetics and artificially breeds those does to 250 inch genetics, then breeds the offspring to one 250 inch genetics. How many generations does it take to get offspring consistently producing 250 inch deer?

I have spent the last two weeks reviewing all the pictures and information I could find on breeder bucks for the AI season. Not just the quality bucks coming out of the maxbo line but the quantity of quality deer is amazing. I must take my hat off to cougar ridge. Their bucks are impressive.

Forgive me if this is a dumb question :cool: I have a breeder friend of mine that use to tell me that Whitetail deer are the only species that will throw a separate DNA code everytime. Also, that they were the only ones who could pass on individual characteristics, i.e. antler characteristics...
