Its been a little slow lately on the forums, so I got to thinking. Lets see some of your taxidermy, weather you have one mount or a whole room lets see it. I'll start off with a pic of a 10 point my dad had done back in 1993, it is still his biggest bow buck to date.

I started doing taxidermy as a hobby about 3 years ago, here is a coyote, my first attempt at a lifesize, i did it for my aunts buddy, he was happy with it.

Here is some bucks i did, the one on the left was a suprise for my bro-in-law. It was his first bow buck, he was so pumped, the one on the right was for a guy at work

And finally here is a mule deer I was honored to do for my dad, he shot this buck last month in Colorado, it is a true trophy, but he said he would have never paid to get it professionally mounted, so he was very happy to have me do it for just cost of material I just finished the mount last weekend

These are some of Randy's mounts. He has been doing taxidermy since a kid. Now, it's a source of "winter" income for him during the off season. He gets between 35-40 heads per year with no advertising....just word of mouth and repeat customers.

He calls this his "wall of shame". It is 32 years of bow hunting kills. I'm just glad that he does his own taxidermy!!

Very nice, Randy is definately talented, I like the lifesize mount, I have'nt worked up the nerve to try one yet, I am just now getting somewhat satisfied with my shoulder mounts, LOL, but it sure would be cool to try one someday.

Here are some pictures of me and my Dad's bucks, most of them are his, the shoulder mount on the left is the buck my Dad shot opening weekend last year and the other is my 1st buck I shot about 10 years ago.

The orynx on the left is a cull we shot on the ranch several years ago.

I know he isn't anything special but he is the biggest buck that we have shot on our current deer lease, my dad took him opening weekend last season, he has a 17 inch spread and grossed 120 something.

I shot this buck on the ranch, he was always a 6 pointer and nothing more, I shot him on December 28th and he hadn't even rubbed his horns very much to sharpen his points, he was fat too, when we went to field dress him didn't have testicles, it explained the fat and lack of rubbing horns. He has a 20 inch spread and was a 106 rough score, not bad for a 6 pointer.

A few more bucks we've taken from our lease, the one on the bottom is mine.

A red deer shed we found on the ranch before the guide found them all, and the rest are bucks my dad has taken over the years.

Thanks for the compliment. The full mount he did 3 years ago and I don't know that he will be doing another very soon. It took him about 40 hours to complete and was very difficult getting all the skin into place. It's hard to show the detail in the pictures but he's really good at getting the veins and muscles so that it looks as alive as possible. He's also really good with the eyes which helps in the overall appearance.

2 day old moose calf! Mom was hit by a car and the calf died later. I was told the moose calf mounts are rare???

That fox is cool. I've been asking Randy for about 10 years to mount me a fox for the house. I was so excited last year when I went to the shop and seen he was doing a fox and here it was for someone else!! Someday. They really are very beautiful when mounted.

Thank you!! He is one of my favorites! My dogs too!! LOL Try to convince a Golden Retriever to LEAVE THE FOX ALONE!! :)

I bet you kissed Him!!:D Nice ,wouldnt want to run into that bear after The lounge closed.:D

I think this is a great thread. I sent a private message to Antlershed (Matt) yeasterday. I am looking forward to him practicing on a piebald buck that I plan to shoot in the next week or two. I have seen this piebald several times while hunting, I just haven't shot him because I didn't know what to do with him.

I don't have any deer mounts here at my office, YET! But I have attached a picture of a fox that I had professionally mounted a few years back. I put this one on here for you ,Susan. He was a nuisance around the farm, and the deer were scared to death of him. I guess it is too much like a dog. Anyways, I caught him in the back yard one morning...BOOM!

The turkey is one I shot two springs ago. I mounted this one myself. It is skinned in one entire piece...no patching or sewing. He was an awesome bird. He was just shy of beating the West Virginia state record. My bird weighed 27.1 pounds, 1 1/2" spurs and 10 1/2" beard. He was a real trophy !!

Great mounts, this is a pretty fun thread so far. Jack that is a great way to show off your turkey, that is really awesome that he almost made the record, by the way I did just reply to your PM, I'll call you later.
