This is a thread such as the "Bucks" one and I think it would be funny and cute to post pictures of everyones new fawns that are being born at the present. Come on!!! Lets see em!!! Who has that smallest and who has the largest???
I had a 2yr.old Martygraw doe bred to Jessy James have her first fawning this week and she threw out triplets! 2 does and a Buck! The Smallest runt doe is #26 and then there is a middle sized doe #27 and the buck #28 is the largest. The runt isnt much bigger than her bottle but she is drinking better than the other doe that is larger. INCREDIBLE!! He is going to be a new record by the time he is 3!!
Here are our first ones this year. Twin does out of our white breeder buck ZEB. They were born last night around midnight, and we pulled them this evening. WE LIKE UM. Allen
T.R.O. Thats pretty good spread on that buck fawn. Not to mention decent mass but I got to wonder hows that mama does feeling about this. That's got to hurt! Rick
I was too busy to write much earlier today, but your are great also.
I love the pieds because it's like an Easter egg hunt, you never know what you'll find in the field.I am working at great racks I have crossed them with some of the best...And Will do more of the same this year.
This might seem like a really dumb question this is my first time having fawns here at my farm, but what are some signs that a doe is going to have fawns? Tail sticking strait out?? Let me know. I apprciate it. Thanks
This is the smallest of the three With a 6cc syringe.
PS ...I pulled the two smallest fawns at dark and the smallest ate 3oz colostrum the other fawn not so much at all...She just did the lock jaw thing and let it run out
I've heard it is from the antlers growing too fast and strecthing the velvet. Doesn't seem to be the case with this buck....he's always been a little wierd.
