Our spring of 2010 fawning started for us a couple of days ago at Independence Ranch. Surprisingly enough we have had no live bred does fawn as of yet, but we have had 3 of our A/I'ed does fawn.

I am excited about each of the fawns born and am expecting great things from them. I am not sure if Poncho has ever been bred to a deeper doe than Dolly, and we were fortunate to get 3 girls from that effort. Dolly is of course the mother to Updraft who scored 268 4/8" @ 2 in 2009.

Shadow and Grace is a special cross as well. Grace is the half sister to Dolly (same mothers) but then has Maxbo on her top side. We all know how Maxbo and the Flees line have produced. Then we took Shadow back to Grace.

Kelly is of course the womb sister to Max Thrust a Maxbo son who scored 262" @ 3 in 2009. So we took another Maxbo son named Shadow and bred them together.

Lots of production behind all of these crosses and we look forward to the future. Stay tuned for more updates as our fawning season moves along.

Thanks for looking:)

Update.

Today Bubbles had her Poncho fawn. A single boy. Take note of what I feel is the strength of this breeding. His grandma Pebbles is in the pedigree 3 generations in a row. This is sure to have serious passdown abilities if he is used for breeding at some point.

Congrats Roger and Laurie. Just a little more proof that you guys are going the extra mile in your breeding program. And Roger, before you eat those Poncho girls this fall give me a call.....lol I'm sure they would taste really bad....

Call me to i love a good deer roast.Specialy when they are young and tender.

especially if they have been someones pet and loved, hugged and cuddled... soooo tender... the meat just falls of the bone

The better the blood lines the finer they taste to.

NOT....................TILL were done with the DEER. Roger.....Wait your turn and we will get to you in good time!:D

Hey Roger what kinda barby do ya like or would you rather rapp it in bacon.

In the last couple of days we have had 3 sets of twin doe fawns out of Updraft. One mother is a Max Thrust/Avalanche, another is a Tomahawk/Moose doe, and yet another is an Avalanche/Pegasus/double bred Mr Awesome doe.

These girls are available for pickup now if anyone is interested.

Geez Roger i can't believe you are just giving those doe fawns away........anyone that wants them just has to come pick them up right?

Heck if no one else will do the man a favor I guess ill suck it up and take the rest of them. Four seasons just swing by pittsburgh on ur way ill split gas with you.
