Steve and Faye,
I am truely sorry for your loss. I know you tried everything you could.
I have been watching this thread because I had a similar situation 2 years ago. I did pretty much everything you did, and still lost the fawn. We had the same exact reaction with the fawn.
He was 8 days old and couldn't get up. We had recalled that a couple days prior he seemd to be slow getting up and weak when he stood, but at 8 days he was paralyzed. We took him inside and kept him warm. We had given him BOSE, pen G, B complex and Banamine. Luckily the mother was dog tame and my wife took the fawn out several times a day and held him so he could nurse from the mom. That worked great. One evening we took him out and he seemed to finally have some movement. he stood on his own and was able to nurse. A fierce storm blew in and we put the fawn in the shelter and ran back to the house. As we watched from the living room window, that fawn had a running fit right in the middle of the storm. He ran like there was no tomorrow, bucking and playing for almost a half an hour. We thought we had cured him. We laughed and rejoiced as we watched him run and play. The next morning he was unable to stand again. He developed the runs and we lost him that night. We still don't understand what the problem was. The twin to that buck never had any issues and is a perfectly healthy 2 yr old buck right now.
GOD Bless you !!
