Congratulations Sam, Brian James RDM Whitetails and Griffith Brothers on your work in building our two yearlings . Out of 100 yearlings on the ground today Saguaro and Mojave are Applecreeks two Best.W-15 is named Saguaro. He's a son of GB Magic, but goes back to Lumberjack (Timberjack's brother) as his does father. W-25 is named Mojave. Mojave is an RDM Timberbuck son, making Timberjack his grandfather. The grandfather on the doe side is RDM Goliath. I also have to give credit to Kevin Grace for his advice in purchasing this package at sale in 2007. I owe you all a big THANK YOU AND STEAK DINNER.

Alex, Great deer he really is a fast starter! When does he usually stop growing?

First of July and then fingers crossed he doesn't knock anyhting off. He was similar last year except his mass is bigger this year. Dreamer didn't really come on until 4 & 5 years. I loose confidence in them after 3 and go on the next line I'm developing. Son of Gun stuff has always been early growers as far as age, then level off.

It's always fun to watch all these "early" growers, with all the stickers and kickers. BUT, I'm guilty too, we need to watch for those wide , big framed bucks, that grow slow. They have long beams, tines, and awesome spread. I believe thats where the shooter market was when we left it. So, I have seen some, so lets see those that are "clean" showing FRAME, not extras.

Rough country, How is Miken looking? I heard he had damaged himself a while back. Let us know. Thanks

B Whitetails,

Miken is growing slow since the damage one side is growing ok but the othe side has not realy grown since the damage and what has grown is pretty non-typical but at least he is healthy and there is high hopes for next year.

That is a great point there. We do all get excited early on about those fast starters that throw mass and lots of stickers .. but then it's the big strong typicals that blow everyone away come the fall. Over here we all seem to think that's where the shooter market is as well.

We definitely love the typical genes and we've seen alot of them come out of Full House. Full House has thrown many great typical sons, like Rancher.

We're glad to have some of his genes in our pens. Here is a recent shot of Saratoga. Taken just yesterday. He's one of those wide slow starters... but he's really taking off now... =)
