One of our good breeder does is just gigantic. Her belly is so big my partner said he is gonna tie a skateboard on her belly to keep it from dragging. She is known for triplets but last year she didn't give any. This year she looks like there is 4-5 in there. We are nervously keeping a hard eye one her and have expected her to drop for about 10 days now. Don't know what to do but wait. Any comments?

I can sure relate to this one! We have a doe that is very heavy - and due today according to my calendar. She was a triplet, and has dropped 3 for two years in a row... She looks more like a horse! She is the biggest framed doe we have - and one of the sweetest. Not getting much else done except watching everyone! Good luck...

I'm not sure of the days, DC, she was in a pen with 4 other does and a buck. It's just that she looks like she is going to burst like a balloon. I'm told that if it is triplets or more the longer they stay in the better, to a point. I just ain't sure what that point is. Oh well, I guess it is just watch and wait like Fla. deer mom. Thanks for the replys.

Can you post pics. I would like to compare to one I have, that I think is huge. She started showing the second week of April and still hasn't poped. She was AI'd Nov.4th which if she took would put her at 211 days . I know its not looking good for the AI.

This doe had triplets......we weren't sure how many she had in there. She was HUGE!!! The triplets were kind of small though surprisingly. The littlest one was only 3 lbs and I'm very frustrated right now trying to keep him alive. I don't think he got any colostrum and have been feeding him with a syringe today. Yesterday he did suck twice--once got 1 1/2 oz and about 8pm took 2 1/2 oz. Nothing since them except what I have gotten him to swallow. Not a good day around here right now!!:(

I have attached pictures of our doe that I think is going to explode. Last year was her first fawn and a single birth. Her half sister had triplets on 5/24/09 (2 bucks and 1 doe (fox valley)). It is very hot here in Florida and I feel for her.
