Congratulations Greg on a really good match up. The bucks should be wide and massive out of this pairing. I hope it dries up and warms up as this high 30's and wet aint good for babies. I would be tempted to bottle feed both fawns. Rick

We had our first fawns today. Triplets out of Miken and a Sundance/PA Geronimo doe.

We picked this doe up at the top 30 a few years back as a doe fawn this is her second year fawning and we have gottin trips both years from live breedings.

We had two different does give us triplets this morning before noon. One was AI'd to WWF Condor (2 bucks and a doe fawn) and the other was live bred to a Sundance Kid yearling. Just like Christmas morning.

Rick what is wrong with 92 and sunny Wednesday and 42 and raining tonight?

Matt I guess thats just life in Illinois. Our does have been holding off but I got one about ready to pop. I'm glad the rain shut off. I need to talk to you sometime as I was over at Lavernes and Philips place the other day and he said you might want some pics of my uturn/sneakers buck . Let me know, Rick

Just had twin doe fawns out of my Hightide over Bj doe AI'D back to Bj. I'm excited about this breeding, what's everyone else out there think of it?

You might have the next superdoe! That 's what sets breeders apart from one another. We all have a little bit different directions that we r a going. In the end we will know whether or not they were good directions. Just my opinion-Jason DCW

We're still waiting on our does to drop their fawns, but they all look like they are ready to explode. We're really excited though. We picked up a doe fawn out of Rambo today. Can't wait to see what she will produce!!

I had twins, buck/doe fawn this past thursday (5/19). One down nine to go, the others are huge but just dont look quite ready yet, but maybe by the weekend they will start.

My first pied fawn of the season :) My pied fawns are out of Kudo...the pied buck I bought from Todd Hosch.

Whiskey Ridge Whitetails 2011 Fawns

Friday

First was our GB PA Geronimo/Magnus Doe, she was AI'd to GB Lexus - twin doe fawns

Second was our Double Down/Reggie Doe, she was AI'd to Banshee - a buck and a doe

Saturday

Third was our Lakota/Banshee Doe, she was AI'd to Cardiac Kid - a buck and a doe

Forth was our Reggie/Bucky Doe, she was AI'd to Cardiac Kid - twin buck fawns

Sunday

Fifth was our BJ/GB PA Geronimo doe, she was AI'd to Sundowner - twin buck fawns

Sixth was our GB Buckster/Bucky Doe, she was AI'd to GB Lexus - twin buck fawns

All of our AI does fawned between 180 and 195 days!! Thanks Doc Shipley!!!!!!! 100% again for the 3rd year in a row!!!

Unfortunately we had our Martygraw/5 Brow Doe that was AI'd to Hydro-Ax fawn a week early in the middle of the night during a major thunderstorm when it was 40 degrees. She had twin doe fawns, we lost both of them to the weather.

On a brighter note, I'd like to congratulate Sam James of Whitetail Dreams and Troy Gann of Whitetail Creations. Sam is getting a buck fawn out of the Reggie Doe and a buck fawn out of the Lakota Doe. Troy is getting a buck fawn out of the BJ doe. Thanks for giving us a chance to work with you guys. I think it worked out great for all of us. We all got some great animals out of the deal, and maybe a breeder buck or two with some outstanding pedigrees!!!!

We still have two left to fawn, both were live bred. A Hydro-Ax/12 Pack doe bred to Martygraw and a BW Grand Canyon/BW Sundowner doe bred to BW XL 747. Should be an exciting couple years coming up.

I'm sure if I missed anything or got a day wrong Paul will let us know, it was alot to keep up with.

Thanks again to Sam, Troy, and Doctor Shipley and his staff.

Congrats Mark!! Ill take all them buck fawns off your hands as i know feeding them is a chore and getting expensive !!!:D:p Should make for some real brutes!!! -Jason DCW

Thanks Jason, it's nice to see all those little guys running around the pen, wondering what they will look like in a couple years. :)
