I really don't think it would be that hard to have a different pay scale for big clean typicals. From what I hear from different people the shift is going back toward typicals than for the non-typical inches. If that buck was put in a sale what would he bring? not near what he is worth as a breeder!!!!!
It still all comes down to supply and demand, if these clean typicals are in such demand then the guys who own them should just hold out for more money, if its true they'll be able to sell them for a premium. If you have a 200 inch typical standing there in front of a hunter and a 275 inch non-typical for the same price, I'd bet most would shoot the non-typical buck. As an outfitter, I guarantee you in the wild, if an area has a 180 typical and a 250 non-typical, they'd shoot the non-typical first every time.
