My first year raising fawns and I have 2 does that are bred both looking like they may fawn at anytime what signs let you know the time is close? Does where live bred so I have no idea when to expect.

Watch the nipples and bag underneath. Girls like to start pacing or running the fences a day or so before they fawn. And most times they start to chase others away or isolate themselves from the others. Enjoy it!

Twin boys out of my Rex yearling and a superduty doe. 300"+ grand sire on 350"+ doe, good ones to watch grow the next few years, the pink on the fawns hoof is fingernail polish... I paint their hooves until I am ready to tag....incase someone else is unexpectedly born before I get the tagging gun out.

Wright deer, my doe that fawned this morning acted just as Rodger described, last night she was pacing the fence , panting, aggressive toward the other deer (and my little puppy dogs that come in the pens everyday to feed deer with me) and she got a huge udder bag that was not there a few days ago. Some of my older bottle feds are the hardest to predict. They don't really act any different, they are so relaxed you just go out there and find the fawns one day out of the blue, with little to no warning.

here was daddy peeking over the hill while we were giving shots this morning, his second rack is well on its way now, its impossible to tell from this pic, but he has quadruple brows, and two drops started, he is actually up to 10 points already.

I don't think the ole girl can go much longer:rolleyes:. Timber Jack over Sky Walker. Want to guess how many is in there. Just pray that they are healthy.
