We have one male and one female fawn. I notice that the female has two white spots on her upper hips on both sides. the male has one white spot on his upper hips on both sides.

Is this an indication of *** of fawns or just a random thing?

fawn spots is just God with a paint ball gun. we have had some covered with spots and some with as few as ten per side, sometimes if you squint real hard and connect the dots .......a picture appears. the real neat thing few outside deer farming know is that deer never loose their spots, you can see them shine it the sunlight when they are shedding their summer coat and filling in their fall coat.

Curtis, look forward to seeing the spots when they shed the summer coat.

Appreciate the info - I just saw the difference and wondered.....

Scott, that is way cool. Being from the home of Eskimo Joes in Stillwater, Ok that is their motto. I'm sure they would love to see this.

Scott, the fawns we have do not have anything like that, but I notice that the two photos you showed - the fawn in the photo has the two bigger spots on her hip just like the doe fawn we have????????

Update: Well so much for being observant and noticing differences in spots. Got another buck fawn yesterday. It has two spots on it's upper hip. So that is no indication of ***. I look at things closely and thought I had made a discovery - so much for my discovery!!!! Live and learn. I just have to remember that a day without learning something is a day wasted. I ain't got that many to waste. So I'll just enjoy them as they come.

Scott that fawn is way to cool............"eat at joes" who knows maybe one of God's favorite places to eat.......

Farmer's,

Since we are talking about weird spot's, How about a long Hair under Chin.

All my Deer when looking at them in the morning sun, They have a long hair under their chin, much like a cat with whiskers.
