I would say yes to all of the above and i think i would also add in checking their livers.. Valbazen would be one of the med's that went into the rest of the herd but im thinking Bruce hit the nail and this herd is in dire straights when it comes to where they are being raised!  Good Luck!

At this time we r givin covexin vaccine. U all think its a good idea also give fusobact...

and yes they drain well!!(pens)

I would give Fuso vaccine. Would also have a soil sample taken and have it checked for all the normal stuf including Crypto ?

wmarks, it's so in your Bio that you are a Vet ? is this true ? Are these your deer or a clients ? What part of the Country are you in ?

It sounds very much like the fawns had a fusobacterium in their mouth.  From the looks of the pictures my guess is the fusobacterium is in the does also but I wouldn't rule out clostridial enteritis.  Both these problems will fix themselves with shots for the problem.  Both these problems are in the ground as ground bacteria and some cleaning is required with lime for a start.

Wow! Would you be so kind as to tell how to clean the land (soil)? I have very small pens. Though I go in and rake the pens I am still afraid of the soil.

Wmarks, I am sorry, and hope things get better!!

Apreciate ur time..

I forgot to say ,, these pens are next to sheeps and goats ,, we r suspecting some bacterial wounds coming from there..

Lime...Heavy and often. No standing water. Rotate pens. Keep animal numbers to a norm when in pens.Vaccine if needed!!  Its really just good normal animal care!!

Wmark I think you ment Wayne on the question about you being a Vet.

Remi, Mike sumed it up on cleaning your pens.

I sure hope you find out the problem on the deer.
