As Dad and I traveled along to the 2014 Top 30 sale I said to him "I hope someone's brought a buck to the show I don't know about that could help us move forward with our typical breeding program" We went there with the intention of buying semen from a couple bucks I was very impressed with in their photos. I wanted to see the hard antler of the bucks before making up my mind because of the photo shopping, retouching, and adding of clay extensions then make your replica and mount it crowd.I entered the door and immediately the tine length of a huge typical caught my eye.I soon found out the bucks name was "Dude".His mount and hard antlers were much more impressive than the photo of him in the add.His owner was displaying all five of his racks grown to date.Dude's typical consistency year after year, single brow, and tine spacing was awesome. A testament of the predictability and typical production potential in his offspring by breeding him to our typical pedigreed doe.Furthurmore after winning numerous placks in this years panel scored antler competition at Nadefa, I was surprised to hear some of "Dudes"typical tines were over 19". It was like a breath of fresh air to walk in the top30 and find a typical buck of this quality that is a perfect outcross for our farms typical genetics .It is even more refreshing to have an owner advertise tine length under what his buck was panel scored. Thanks to Bill for bringing this great deer. It was a real encouragement to me. I hope one day to grow a typical buck on our farm with tines over 19" We will be putting Dudes clean19" typical tines on top of Banjo's clean 18" typical tines this fall . Again thanks Bill for providing us this great chance to move forward with Dude in our AI program!

I couldn't agree more Bell,  Dude is one of those bucks that just makes your jaw drop!  The pictures Bill had in his ads did not do the buck justice.  When i first saw this buck in person all i could say was WOW!

I might add that Dude has over 65" of main beam credit also and thanks Adam for posting pictures

Dudes sire is a Maxbo Radar son named Remax. Remax dam is a Bandit doe blue-37 Bandit was a very clean wide typical foundation breeder at Couger Ridge. Dudes dam sire was a breeder named Even Dozen 207"at four . Even Dozen was sired by a buck named Gladiator???. Even Dozen mother was a Boomer doe I assume Flees Boomer. Dude's mother Y-30 dam was Robin sired by Blade a son of Blazer out of a Ceaser doe. Ceaser was sired by the Heart Attack buck. Robins mother was Golden Girl which I believe would be Golden Boy sister from Ron Golden stock. Golden Boy was purchased by Flees from Ron and was a foundation breeder on their farm. When I studied the pedigree this is what I came up with. There are a lot of big old school typical lines behind Dude. If Anyone has any pedigree info on an old northern buck named Gladiator I don't remember him please post info .Thanks

Yes Wayne, I believe it is waldvogels boomer. I also think waldvogel boomer and waldvogel buddy were brothers or half brothers? Buddy was a super producer of big typicals.

My records indicate Gladiator is out of Mr. Awesome/ Van Asten. In one of my does pedigree her maternal side is Boomer lll on Flees Joeys sister( Little Lady) Golden Boy/Governor. Boomer lll's bottom is Gladiator/Flees Boomer/Wheeler doe. I also see Gladiator is a brother to Chance and Sisco!

Thanks for all the follow up pedigree info. I have seen some huge typical deer in Oklahoma out of the Chance line. I will put that on my copy of his pedigree sheet about Gladiator being Chance and Sisco brother and Mr. Awesome was an awesome typical buck! Bill's E-mail address is [email protected] I'm sure he would e-mail Dude's pedigree and Nadefa score sheet to anyone who would like to see it

I too just saw the Dude mount at the recent WOW banquet and he really is something to see . His pictures just don't show how nice and big he really is ! If anyone is interested I'm sure the Krusmark's wouldn't mind a call .....507- 753-2183

Dude is looking great, you may want to do something with that brace wire though. Its got antler damage written all over it. I stapled a small section of fence up to cover mine.

Bill

I can't wait to see him in August. Dr. James C. Kroll stated that the premium look of the whitetail bucks horn is one that fills the square frame. Dude has one of the largest frames ever and he does fill out all four sides in a manner the industry hasn't ever seen. He is more than just wide rectangle frame. He fills in the top in spectacular fashion! You will do well in Texas with Dude.
